Sam at 1 month

Sam at 1 month :)

- sleeping in 4 hour stretches at night and taking lots of cat naps during the day with his longest one in the early afternoon
- still nursing like a champ and getting a few bottles of formula a week
- loves to be held just like his sister did
- doesn't mind riding in the car (for now)
- is really responding to Finley. If she gets near him and talks to him he looks around for her and when she lays next to him on his playmat he stares a hole through her.

Just like Mommy

Yesterday I put the Bjorn on because Sam was fussy and I really needed to mop the floors. That was all it took. Finley insisted on putting it on and carrying her baby around in it "like Mommy". Actually, first she wanted to get in it so I could carry her around. I feel bad because I'm always telling her she is too big for things. You're too big for the bouncy seat, you're too big for the Bjorn, you're too big for Sam's bathtub, you're too big for the changing table. I showed her a picture of her when she was little in the Bjorn and that made her smile :)

The Hunger Games

Katie and I FINALLY went to see The Hunger Games Saturday night! I thought it was amazing! The casting was so good! I thought the casting of the main characters was so spot on. Lenny Kravitz as Cinna and Woody Harrelson as Haymitch were perfect. I also loved how many "unknowns" there were. Jennifer Lawrence is my new fav. This was definitely the perfect big budget breakout role for her. I'm ready to see it again! I heard a woman talking to her friend saying that she didn't like the movie and probably wouldn't read the books. What is with people not reading the books! They don't know what they're missing. Of course you didn't like the movie, it was half the story. It was so nice to get out of the house and have some girl time. I felt like I hadn't been out of the house after dark in so long. I drove home very slowly :) Also, they showed a teaser of a preview for Breaking Dawn part II. Can.Not.Wait.

Sam had his first bath! He loved having his hair washed, but was wasn't thrilled with the actual bathing part. I had to make it quick :)

Easter 2012

We had a great Easter this year! Sam's 1st! We dyed eggs the day before and Finley played with them until the shells were everywhere. She carried them around in her grocery basket to each room in the house where she took them all out and then put them all back in and carried them to the next room. We had to throw them out when she wasn't looking. Sam spent the day sleeping and being a sweet angel. The Easter bunny came and brought goodies and my mom and sister came up for a delicious lunch and an Easter egg hunt. It was a great day!

Sunday Funday!

Jennie and Amanda came to visit and to see Sam on Sunday. We had a great time catching up! The dads took the girls to get ice cream and play at the park so we could visit in peace. Everyone came back to the house so the girls could play and we could get pictures. I'm so thankful for wonderful friends!!! Love you girls!
