Look what I can do at 19 Months!

Finley weighs about 23 lbs. and is about 31 inches tall. Finley says hello mama, hello dada, I luh (I love), I see yo (I want to watch Yo Gabba Gabba) nuk (milk), cul (color), bess (bless you) shu shee (excuse me), oh gosh, and shyanks (thanks), rain, and the list goes on and on. She is talking up a storm! She can point to her eyes, nose, mouth, ears, bellybutton, toes and hair when you ask her where they are. Her favorite foods are...milk. The child doesn't eat enough to keep a bird alive. The doctor calls it "exploring her independence". She still yells and stomps her feet when she gets mad or you tell her no. She also does this "uh" thing in her throat when she's irritated. I'm using time-out as punishment for now and she hates it. She gets upset and cries until I get her out, but once I do she calms down and always gives me a hug. She hates riding in her stroller. She wants to walk everywhere and she WIll NOT hold your hand. She's very ticklish above her knees and on her stomach. She has a little box with shape holes in the top and she seems to be able to identify circle, square, triangle and star. She usually puts them in the right hole on the first try. She still loves to read books. She loves to swing and go down slides. She's not afraid of ANYTHING which is scary for Joey and I. She has no fear. She has started imitating me and Joey. She pretends to shave her legs, stir things in a bowl, carry a purse, she lays on her anywhere chair the same way Joey does when he lays in her playroom with her and when she pretends to talk on the phone she walks around the house. Joey and I both do this:) She wears a size 4 diaper and is in 18-24 month clothes. Yo Gabba Gabba is still her favorite show. She LOVED Yo Gabba Gabba Live! She loves to stack blocks, color and go for walks in her push car. She loves dogs and cats. She can make some animal noises. She can do a cow, monkey, cat and dog. She is really attached to her blankies (nankie) and yes, she is still takes a bottle. I don't know when I'll take it from her. It doesn't seem to be hurting anything. I plan on putting her in Mother's Day Out a few days a week in the Spring so I'll tackle it then.

We love her with all our hearts and she is growing, changing and doing new things every day. We love you Finley!

Just life ;)

Not much is going on around here. Just life ;) My mom came up for a visit on Sunday and we had lunch and went to Under the Christmas Tree which is like Christmas Village in Birmingham. We had a yard sale on Saturday and got rid of a bunch of stuff which made me so happy! I've gotten a bunch of Christmas gifts and wrapped them. I'm getting all my Christmas shopping done by December 1st! I got tickets to Candlelight Christmas Evening at the Biltmore Estate and booked massages for mine and Joey's weekend getaway to Asheville. I'm getting more and more excited about that trip every day! Joey gets his new company car next week so adios Dodge Charger. The weather has been awesome. What else, what else...I guess that's about it. Life is good!

Wednesday Funny.

Joey sent me this today and I thought the list was so funny and SO true so I thought I would share it:)

1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.
2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.
3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.
4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.
5. How are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
6. Was learning cursive really necessary?
7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on # 5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.
8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.
9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.
10. Bad decisions make good stories.
11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.
12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.
13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page report that I swear I did not make any changes to.
14. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.
15. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.
16. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lite than Kay. (Personally I’ll go with Kay)
17. I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.
18. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.
19. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said?
20. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers and sisters!
21. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.
22. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.
23. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'd bet everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time!
24. The first testicular guard, the "Cup," was used in Hockey in 1874 and the first helmet was used in 1974. That means it only took 100 years for men to realize that their brain is also important.

Personal best at Publix!

I had a great Publix trip!

Spent: $27.41
Saved: $49.90

Pretty butterfly!

Finley was a butterfly this year. We only went to a few houses because Finley kept having mini meltdowns. Every house we went to had a dog living there. Once she saw the dog, she forgot about her mission to get candy and just wanted to see the dog. When I finally had to pick her up to carry her away from every house, she pitched a fit. It was awesome. Oh well! We came home, handed out all our candy and called it a night. I hope everyone had a great Halloween! Up next...Thanksgiving!
