Having to go grocery shopping after being at the beach for 4 days was hard...back to reality :(

(4) ears of corn
(1) 48 oz. Wesson vegetable oil
(4) cans of Campbell's "Cream of" soup
(2) boxes Quaker Instant grits
(1) box Wheat Thins (FREE plus profit)
(1) Airwick double refill pack
(3) boxes Ritz Crackerfuls crackers
(1) box Scottie's facial tissue (FREE)
(2) boxes Special K cereal
(1) package Kraft cheese singles
(1) Airwick twin pack warmer
(1) Airwick candle

Total before sales and coupons: $96.70
Total after sales and coupons: $31.82

I went over my $25 this week, but that shouldn't surprise you. I'll make it up next week :)

25 Grocery Challenge

No picture today :( We're meeting friends in Bham today to go to the zoo so I'm pressed for time.

Total before sales and coupons: $45.15
Total after sales and coupons: $24.53 (Yay! I spent under $25)

I didn't need much this week, but I did have to get grits, paper towels and cheese singles which were not on sale nor did I have a coupon. I still hit the $25 mark so I'm happy!

Joey and Finley are on their own the other nights because I am off on a girls beach trip on Friday!!! I am so freakin' excited!!! Uninterrupted dinners, uninterrupted sleep, uninterrupted conversation...you get the picture :) This trip is coming at a great time. Mama needs a break...and a margarita ;)

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY FINLEY!!!!!

Poor buggy, sick on her birthday :( Finley has been really fussy lately and then a couple days ago she started running a fever. It was between 101 and 103 each time I checked it. I gave her Tylenol and we went about our business because she had no other symptoms. On Day 3 of her fever (today), I took her to the doc because I noticed she had a runny nose. It's was also the day before her birthday and her party, so I didn't want to have a bunch of kids at our house if she was sick. She tested positive for strep :( It was kind of good news though because I was afraid it was one of those fever viruses I've heard about where you just have to let it run its course and be miserable in the meantime. She got an antibiotic and we are using Motrin as needed. I'm hoping she will wake up tomorrow and feel at least a little better for her birthday party. I can't believe my baby will be 2!!! On the bright side, Finley made it almost 2 years without ever setting foot in the "sick" waiting room :)

and not so good this afternoon.

Lately...

Here's what's been going on lately...

-Finley's 2nd birthday is on Saturday so I've been planning her party. We are having family and a couple of Finley's Huntsville friends over Saturday afternoon for a Minnie Mouse themed party. Decorations, cupcakes, ice cream, gifts..you know the drill ;)I cannot believe she's two years old, but that's a whole other post.

-We took Finley with us over to Ryan and Leighton's house for dinner the other night. She had fun looking at their puppies and showing them what dinnertime is like with a toddler. This just in...Ryan and Leighton put off having kids for another couple of years.

-We went to the mall with Katie and Abby to play in the toy store and have lunch. We love those girls and always have a great time! I cannot wait until this fall when Finley starts MDO and Katie and I can go to lunch kid-free! I wonder what it will be like...

-We got our chandelier for the dining room and hung it. I love it!!! I also ordered the fabric for the chairs and they should be picked up to be covered soon. Once they are returned the dining room will be complete!!! Finally! I'm not sure what room is next.

-Joey and I went out to dinner again with Ryan and Leighton and a bunch of their friends. We had a great time!!! We ended up at Sammy T's which is kind of like Tiki Bob's or the Music Hall (for you Birmingham peeps) except worse...much, much worse.

-Finley spends a lot of her time watching youtube videos. She has become obsessed with 5 or 6 videos of childrens songs and all she wants to do is watch them over and over. Thankfully they are educational.

-Unfortunately, after we had gorgeous weather for several days, it turned cold and rainy and hasn't let up. Finley and I are both ready to get outside again. She is getting a lot of outdoor toys for her birthday so I hope this weekend brings the warm weather back.

-I've been taking Zumba and it is killing me! After I take a class, everything hurts. It's a great workout though. Definitely my favorite exercise class I've ever taken. I even like it better than Crunk Fitness :)

-Joey has been working, playing golf and just being the wonderful husband and father that he always is :)

-We were supposed to go to Bham today to see my friend Tiffany and her little girl, but Finley woke up feeling crummy. We'll reschedule for next week, hopefully. Finley just fell asleep in the floor for about 30 minutes. If Finley Dambro goes to sleep before her naptime then something's up. I hope she feels better by Saturday!

That's about it! We are busy enjoying friends, family and each other :)
